It’s that time again! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale that takes the internet by storm is here. Every blogger on every platform is covering it, but I’m coming at it from another angle. While I do believe in splurging on some staple items, I’m a FIRM believe you can get things just as great, at a fraction of the cost. Yes, the material may be slightly different, but in most cases, I’ve been happier with my Old Navy and Target dupes. I bought a handful of items from the N Sale last year, and honestly…I’ve worn two of the items. The “I have to have it because its on sale” kept playing in my head last anniversary sale, and then the very next month, Old Navy and Target came out with dupe items for everything I had bought. Talk about regret!
So here’s my advice. Splurge on the items you will get a ton of use out of, and save on the items that are a little more trendy and probably won’t be in style next season.
Here’s the breakdown on the sale. Starting today July 12th, early access opens for those that have Nordstrom credit cards. They will get their shot at the items first. Then public access with open July 19th, and from what I’ve heard, they are going to be better about restocking items this year. Last year was kind of a mess of things being constantly sold out. So here’s to hoping!
First, let’s talk about the items I actually think are worth the investment, versatile and will get a lot of wear.

Spanx Leggings – I bought these last year, and truly love them! They are perfect for fall and winter and can easily be dressed up or down. I do suggest sizing up one size because they run small.
Barefoot Dreams Cardigan – Dreamy and cozy all wrapped into one. I love this cardigan not only for lounging at home, but also enjoy it dressed up with boots and jeans in the fall. This is the lowest price you will ever see it, and it also makes for an awesome gift.
Classic Neutral Boots – I will absolutely splurge on good boots. Living in the Midwest, I get a lot of wear out of boots, and I like to have something that will withstand the weather while being comfortable.
Weather Resistant Footwear – We get a ton of rain and snow here, so I need to have good water resistant footwear. Not only are these two options functional, but they look stylish too, so its a win all the way around!
Next let’s talk about the items I think will for sure sell out right away.

These are the items I think are going to be highly sought after, and most likely will sell out quick. So if any of these items are on your list, I’d act fast!

Now for my personal wish list from the sale. I don’t really need anything, but these are the few things that caught my eye and I would be comfortable spending money on.

Now onto the fun part…giving you all the dupes! I’m not going to lie, this was an insane amount of work. Hours of browsing all the websites to find the best look-alike options for less. But if I can get you great items for less money, then I’m a happy girl! I live on a budget, and I never want to tell you to buy something that could cause you to go over your budget. I just want to encourage others to be wise with their money, and help them see that looking high end doesn’t always have to have a big price tag!
The save options pictured below are marked at the higher price point. I knew they would go on sale this week, but didn’t know the sale prices. So all my save options are most likely going to be even less expensive than what I have them marked at.
