Everyone has those staples pieces they wear over and over again right? I know I do. You may have tons of pieces in your closet, but let’s be honest….you’re probably only wearing 15-20 of them regularly. I had a request from a woman asking about my outfit staples. These are the pieces I always come back to, and what I love most about them, is that I can wear them tons of different ways. I’m going to show you my top 15 favorite pieces from my winter wardrobe that I absolutely can’t live without.
Comfort is key for me most of the time, since I’m at home chasing toddler’s around. So classic black leggings and a oversized cardigan are my go to pretty much daily. These fun leggings are from Express. I love the little cut out details on them. But if you want just a classic legging, I’ve had great luck with Target and Lularoe.
I love my black faux leather jacket. I throw this on all the time. They are a classic piece, and they look great over anything! I got mine at Marshalls a couple years back.
One of my favorite combos. I love mixing patterns, and this is one of my favorite looks. A striped long sleeve is a great layering piece and can be worn so many different ways, so I grab for this one alot.
Olive jackets are a big trend right now. They look great paired over pretty much anything. I picked this one up at a second hand store for $14. I really scored on that one! And then of course my trusty distressed skinny jeans. Brand is Vigoss.
I’m kind of obsessed with leopard print! I think it’s such a fun statement piece. Whether it be your shoes, purse or cardigan. I think it’s classy, and dresses up your look just right!
You can never go wrong with a classic black sweater. For one it’s black, and for two, it’s black. 😉 I love this sweater! It has cute textured sleeves which you probably can’t see well in the picture. I picked it up from Loft a few weeks back. Fur vests are a super fun way to spice up your look. I just got this one off a buy/sell page on Facebook a few weeks ago for $12. Its hard to find that perfect fur vest, and this one is a 10!
I love to layer with my utility vest. This piece can be dressed up or down, and goes with anything. Okay, I’m obsessed with these jeans! I have never loved an article of clothing more. They are the perfect skinny jeans, and I’ll be taking these bad boys to the grave. 😉 But seriously, I might have a mental breakdown when these jeans have their last day. The brand is Hudson, which is kinda pricey, but I scored them at a second hand store about 4 years ago and their still going strong. The style is called Nico midrise super skinny. My chambray shirt is probably my most worn piece of clothing right now. I wear it all the time. Chambray is great because it looks awesome alone, or layered. A huge staple in my closet! The brand is J Crew, but I picked it up at Goodwill for $4. My white sweater is a favorite for sure. I think white looks so timeless and classy. I picked up this cable knit cutie at Loft a few weeks ago.
Alright guys, there is my top 15 favorite pieces. Like I said before, I like to have pieces that can be worn several different ways. When I’m out shopping, that’s always my first question. “Can this be mix and matched with my other items?” If the answer is yes, then you probably should get it. 😉 I didn’t do shoes or accessories in this post because I didn’t want it to get too long and confusing.
