Happy Thanksgiving! As I sit here thinking about what I want to write today, I am flooded with emotions. Thanksgiving, what does that mean to you? What does it mean to me? I often forget to take the time to sit and THANK God for all the things I have in my life. I have been so blessed, but with the craziness of life, I too often forget to give credit to the one who has blessed me! So today I am sitting and writing down the things I am thankful for, and my list is long!!!!!!! I think we all should have long lists. Sometimes we overlook the small things and just think of the big obvious things. Like my family, my home, my job, my dishwasher (I cant be the only one haha). But what about the small overlooked things? Like running water, indoor plumbing, food in the fridge. We often just expect those things, and have gotten so used to having them, that we forget what a luxury they are. I know that I for one have become too caught up in my own selfish ways that I forget to give thanks for these things also. There are so many people in other countries who don’t have the luxuries that we have, such as running water, and indoor plumbing. And you know what? I think they can be more grateful and thankful than us. The smallest things to us, are huge to them. So this Thanksgiving I urge you all to sit down and write down a list of the things you are thankful for. It really helped put things into perspective to see it out on paper. I am thankful for so many things this year, but above all I am thankful for God’s continued love and grace!
On another note, let’s talk about today’s outfit! How cute is this fringed poncho top? I love all things fringe this year! I got this cute top off a Facebook buy/sell page where I buy a big majority of my clothes. The group is called Moms Closet Cleanout. It is a U.S wide site where women sell their clothes and ship them right to your door. It is pretty amazing!!! Shopping from my couch is wonderful, and I am so THANKFUL for postal service and UPS (come on ladies, who isn’t thankful for their delivery guy?) Hehe. I paired with my all time favorite Hudson skinny jeans and my Madden Girl booties. Also, Wal-Mart was having a huge sale on these fringe necklaces. I got this one for $3! With this flowy top, I can now consume all the turkey and pies I want without showing my food baby! 😉 I hope you all have a super fabulous Thanksgiving and enjoy time with your loved ones! xo
